(In white, of course. Its all the better to spill ketchup, mustard, Hickory Sauce, or In-N-Out Secret Sauce on – which is what happens if you eat burgers with me!)

When traveling abroad I normally do my best to avoid my everyday eating addictions and prefer instead to partake in the local cuisine. However, on a recent trip to the culinary wasteland that Costa Rica can sometimes be, I was forced to face my demons and tore right into my single favorite food vice…the Hamburger (or Hamburguesa in this case).

In all honesty this was probably one of the worst burgers I’ve ever eaten. Nevertheless, regardless of the stale bread, hard cheese, a frozen/thin patty and cucumber (?!) it gave me that high that only burgers can (if just for a few adrenaline soaked minutes).  Proving, once again, that burgers translate in any language, Amigo.

You know, I usually prefer my burgers without cheese. I know, I know, blasphemy, right? Well, the problem is that at 90 percent of burger joints, you just get a slice of American, and I’m just not that into it. But a great slice of real cheese, made by real farmers and cheesemakers…. well that’s a recipe for a cheeseburger.

Leave it to the fine lobbyists advertisers at the Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board to create this mouthwatering Flash app, the Cheese & Burger Society. 32 incredible burgers, featuring a variety of Wisconsin cheeses. Personally, I’m going to have to go with Krusty Burger on this one…although a special runner up trophy might need to be awarded to The Lanford Lunch Box simply because (after several late night brewskis) revrev once confessed his secret childhood crush on Roseanne to me.
